Living Along The Thames  (LATT) reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online. You are responsible for reviewing regularly information posted online to obtain timely notice of such changes. Your continued use of this site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of this agreement as modified by the posted changes.

3. Whilst Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  endeavours to ensure that this site is normally available 24 hours a day, Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  will not be liable if for any reason the site is unavailable at any time or for any period.

4. Access to this site may be suspended temporarily or permanently and without notice.

5. Whilst Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  endeavours to ensure that the information on this site is correct, no warranty, express or implied, is given as to its accuracy and LATT does not accept any liability for error or omission.

If any of these terms should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these terms are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction in which that term is illegal, invalid or enforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from the clause concerned and the remaining terms and conditions shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.

10. By accessing any part of this site, you should be deemed to have accepted these Terms in full.

11. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.

Terms and Conditions for print advertising

  1. All adverts are accepted by Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  on the understanding that they comply with the British Code of Advertising Practice, all relevant codes and current legislation and they are copyright free.  This includes any images, logos, photos, trade logos, clip art or any other content that is used in the advert.  It is the advertiser’s responsibility to acquire any necessary permissions for the use of any images, logos, photos, trade logos, clip art or any other content that is used in their advert/editorial/article/any other content.
  2. Any adverts supplied in any pre-prepared format will be inserted into Living Along The Thames  (LATT) as supplied and will be assumed not to require approval.  These files should be supplied at a minimum of 300dpi. No responsibility can be taken for the print quality of any advert supplied at a lower resolution.  These files may be re-sized to fit the appropriate space.
  3.  There is a design fee for the creation of adverts as undertaken by Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  on behalf of the advertiser.  It is the advertiser’s responsibility to check the content of all adverts produced by Living Along The Thames  (LATT) .  The advertiser has two (2) days to notify Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  of any required amendments to their advert following its receipt, otherwise the advert shall be deemed to be approved.  Living Along The Thames  (LATT) accepts no responsibility for any errors or amendments once an advert has been approved.
  4. Any advert/editorial/article/design which Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  has created cannot be used in another publication or advertising medium (e.g. website) without the written approval of Living Along The Thames  (LATT) .  A fee, as determined by Living Along The Thames (LATT) , will be payable if an advertiser wishes to re-use an advert/editorial/article/design in this way.
  5. Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  reserves the right to refuse/edit advertisements at its discretion.
  6. Once an advertiser has agreed to a series of adverts, either by signing and returning the order confirmation form or by confirmation telephone call, e-mail or letter then if the advertiser cancels their commitment then any discount applied to their invoice must be paid in full.  However, if the advertiser cancels their commitment after the deadline date, for that issue, then the advertiser will be liable for the full cost of advertising for that issue as the space has been reserved for their advert.
  7. Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  gives no guarantee of the level of response to adverts/editorial/articles etc.  Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  is unable to offer a refund if no responses are received.
  8. The distribution area of Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  may vary at the discretion of the publisher.
  9.  All invoices are payable within 10 days of the date of the date stated on the invoice or by the date stated on the order confirmation form, whichever is sooner and in no circumstances shall the advertiser be entitled to make any deduction or withhold payment for any reason at all. Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  reserves the right to request full payment be made prior to accepting any advertising.
  10. Without prejudice to any other rights of Living Along The Thames  (LATT) if the advertiser fails to pay the invoice price by the due date the advertiser shall not be allowed any discount given in that invoice or in any other way agreed and shall pay interest on any overdue amount from the date of which payment was due to the date of actual payment (whether before or after judgment) on a daily basis at the rate specified by the Late Payment of Commercial Debtor (interest) Act 1998, which is the Bank of England reference rate current at the due date, plus 8%.  The Advertiser shall reimburse to Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  all costs and expenses (including legal costs) incurred in the collection of any overdue amount.
  11. The advertiser agrees to indemnify Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  against all claims, costs, proceedings, demands, losses, damages, expenses and liabilities whatsoever arising directly or reasonably foreseeably as a result of any breach or non-performance by the advertiser of any of the representations, warranties or other terms contained herein or implied by law.  The advertiser must give notice in writing via email or letter to Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  of any such legal action or threatened legal action the advertiser has been notified of in respect of the advert placed.
  12. Data Protection: The advertiser consents to the computer storage and processing of their personal data by Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  in connection with taking an advert within the magazine and to the transmission of this data across Living Along The Thames  (LATT) for the purpose of our legitimate interests including statistical analysis, marketing of our services and credit control.  If the advertiser breaches this agreement, then the advertiser’s personal data may be disclosed or passed to third parties to the extent necessary to assist recovery procedures.

Note: Where the term advert is used this means any advertisement, editorial, advertorial, article, or any other material (e.g. community content) supplied for publication.

Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. Entry to the competitions are open to all UK residents aged 18 and over.
  3. Competitions are not open to employees and the immediate family of Living Along The Thames  (LATT), or anyone professionally connected to the prize draws.
  4. Please see individual prize draw for closing date as these vary.
  5. Automated entries are not permitted and will be disqualified.
  6. If Extra Terms are displayed below the competition form, these will also apply.
  7. When entering competitions, we will pass your details onto the competition promoter only.
  8. Only one entry per person.
  9. All entries received automatically will be disqualified
  10. Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified.
  11. There is no cash or alternative to the prizes stated, and the prizes are not transferable.
  12. Living Along The Thames  (LATT)  cannot be held responsible for if the prize does not reach the winner for any reason outside of our control or if the prize is damaged during delivery.
  13. If winners are unable to take the prize for whatever reason, a redraw will take place.
  14. The winners will be notified via email within 28 days of the closing date, unless stated otherwise.  The draws will be held within 7 days of the closing date, unless otherwise stated. The winners will be the first entries drawn.
  15. The promoter’s decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
  16. Unless otherwise stated, winners must accept prizes within one month of notification or a redraw will take place.
  17. The promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary. Unless otherwise stated, the promoter is Living Along The Thames  (LATT) 
  18. The winners may be required to take part in publicity resulting from these prize draws.
