IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS AT COPPA CLUB

Christmas is coming early to Coppa Club in Sonning. For one exclusive day, on Sunday 13th December from 11am until 1pm, Father Christmas and some of his reindeer will make a stop on Coppa Club’s riverbank, while Henley Children’s Theatre will treat guests to an angelic choral harmony of Christmas songs. Guests are invited to join the celebrations with a glass of mulled wine, mince pies and a festive menu, raising a toast to Coppa Club’s first Christmas.
Joe Mair, from Coppa Club, said: “It has been a wonderful journey bringing Coppa Club to life in Sonning. To mark our first Christmas, we’re delighted to be welcoming Father Christmas and his reindeer as they stop with us before heading off to deliver presents. Combined with music from Henley Children’s Theatre, it will be a really magical day and we hope will have even the biggest Bah Humbugs feeling festive.”
Father Christmas’s reindeer will come to Coppa Club from their out of season home at Riverways Farm in Berkshire. Coppa Club visitors will have the chance to stroke Rudolf and his furry friends as they graze the riverbank pasture.
Henley Children’s Theatre will be rocking around the Christmas tree with contemporary hits of the season and traditional carols too. The theatrical group teaches children aged 4 to 16 in the performing arts. Flavia Pickworth, whose father famously worked with Dusty Springfield, set up the children’s theatre. Today the group remains in the same family and is run by Flavia’s granddaughter Muffin Hurst. They are well known for their annual pantomime and this year will be staging Beauty And The Beast at the Kenton Theatre.
Coppa Club will be serving their Festive Menu throughout. Guests can feast from Head Chef Matt Fanthorpe’s seasonal menu of winter flavours and locally sourced ingredients. Dishes include Maidenhead turkey with all the trimmings, slow-cooked duck leg, whole roast rainbow trout, together with a fruity panettone bread and butter pudding and flourless chocolate cake.
Coppa Club’s Christmas Set Menu will be available from Monday 16th November to pre booked parties. Three-courses from the Coppa Club Christmas Set Menu is priced at £26.95.
